Why "LYNXIUM"?
The name Lynxium was born from the association of two strong universes.
Lynx, first of all, the animal symbol of the mountains, embodies agility, precision and a sharp vision — essential qualities in mountain biking as well as in component engineering.
The suffix -ium, meanwhile, evokes the world of materials, technology and innovation.
This fusion gives birth to LYNXIUM: an identity that reflects both the mountain roots, the technical requirements and the spirit of a mountain bike component designed as a true "animal" of the terrain, discreet, efficient and perfectly adapted to its environment.

Development
Each LYNXIUM component is meticulously developed, reusing techniques from the automotive industry. From the initial concept to final product validation, every step—design, calculation, simulation, prototyping, various tests, etc.—is executed with rigor. Nothing is left to chance!
History
The founder, Damien Vassault, wanted to combine expertise in mechanical engineering with a passion for cycling. After 25 years in R&D in the automotive industry, it was time to explore a different path. Leveraging this extensive experience in one of the most cutting-edge and ultra-competitive industries to develop a new offering in the world of cycling—that's the idea behind LYNXIUM Bike Components.
Quality
LYNXIUM components are developed exclusively in France. Rigorous specification of each element facilitates communication with suppliers and enables better quality management.
The same precision is applied to each component, whether it is machined, cut, 3D printed or manufactured by a plastic injection process.

Our mountain bike products undergo rigorous bench testing to validate their performance, reliability, and durability. These technical validations are systematically complemented by field tests, conducted in real-world conditions, to guarantee optimal performance on the trails.
Future...
The very first component designed in the early 2000s was a mountain bike shock absorber, which unfortunately remained a prototype. Having proven its performance and reliability during seven years of testing, it never went into production. But who knows, perhaps it will return one day in a revised version!
